The Audio Extender is a high-performance solution designed to transmit digital optical and analog audio signals concurrently over a single CAT5E/6 cable. It achieves impressive transmission distances based on the audio sample rate, reaching up to 300m (990ft) at 48kHz, 150m (495ft) at 96kHz, and 100m (330ft) at 192kHz. This makes it an ideal plug-and-play choice for sending high-fidelity audio from an HDTV back to remote amplifiers or multi-room audio systems.
Audio Extender: Advanced Audio Conversion
A standout feature of this Audio Extender is its built-in Digital to Analog Converter (DAC). On the receiver side, a dedicated selection switch allows users to choose the source for the analog RCA output. It can either output the analog signal sent from the transmitter or convert the digital optical signal (PCM 2.0) into analog stereo. The system supports a variety of high-quality formats, including LPCM, DTS, Dolby Digital, and Dolby Digital Plus, with resolutions up to 24-bit.

Designed for streamlined installation, the Audio Extender supports a bidirectional Power over Cable (POC) function, meaning the system can be powered from either the transmitter or the receiver side. Both units are housed in durable, compact black metal enclosures featuring ESD protection to guard against electrical surges. The devices are powered via a standard DC 5V/1A Micro-USB port and include dedicated LED indicators to confirm power status.
