The HDMI/USB HDBaseT Extender is a high-performance solution designed to transmit high-definition HDMI signals, bidirectional IR, RS-232, and USB 2.0 data over a single CAT6 cable. It operates in two primary modes: HBT mode for standard 4K60/1080P extension up to 328ft (100m), and a Long Reach Mode (LRM) that extends 4K30 or 1080P signals up to 492ft (150m). This versatility makes it ideal for various professional environments, including video conferencing, multimedia broadcasting, and large-scale signal extension.

It handles up to 7.1 channels of HD audio, including LPCM, Dolby True HD, and DTS-HD Master formats. The hardware features a compact metal enclosure with a dedicated USB Type-B port on the transmitter to connect a PC, while the receiver provides dual USB 2.0 Type-A ports for peripherals like a mouse, keyboard, or flash drive.

The HDMI/USB HDBaseT Extender offers sophisticated control through its intelligent EDID management DIP switch, allowing for preset resolutions or copying the remote display's information. It also features a bidirectional 24V Power over Cable (POC) function; when the POC switches are enabled on both the transmitter and receiver, a single 24V/1A power supply connected to either unit will power the entire system. Additionally, the transmitter supports analog audio embedding, while the receiver provides de-embedded audio output via a 3-pin Phoenix connector.
