HDMI Matrix Overview
The HDMI Matrix is a high-performance video distribution system designed to route four HDMI sources to four independent displays (p. 3). It supports cutting-edge video resolutions, including 8K@60Hz (4:2:0) and 4K@120Hz (4:4:4), while providing a massive 48Gbps video bandwidth (pp. 3-4). To ensure maximum compatibility with the latest hardware, the device is fully compliant with HDMI 2.1 and HDCP 2.3 standards, enabling secure and seamless transmission of high-definition content.
HDMI Matrix Audio and Video Features
This HDMI Matrix offers extensive signal management capabilities, such as 8K to 4K or 8K/4K to 1080p downscaling for each individual output port (pp. 3, 7). It features advanced audio breakout options, including four optical S/PDIF ports and four balanced/unbalanced analog audio outputs, allowing for flexible connection to external sound systems (pp. 4, 6). Furthermore, it supports high-end visual technologies like HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and gaming-centric features such as Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode.
HDMI Matrix Control and Management
Operating the HDMI Matrix is highly flexible, providing four primary control methods: front-panel buttons, an IR remote, RS-232 serial commands, and a dedicated Web GUI (pp. 3, 5). It includes an advanced EDID management system with 36 factory-defined settings and three custom user modes to ensure optimal communication between different sources and screens (pp. 7, 11). The unit is housed in a durable metal enclosure and features a built-in LCD screen for real-time monitoring of switching status, network information, and system settings.
