The HL-S3G-400 is an industrial-grade digital fiber optic converter designed for broadcast environments. It transmits four independent channels of forward-path 3G-SDI video over a single fiber link. By utilizing CWDM multiplexing and fully digital non-compressed processing, it ensures real-time delivery. This advanced system transports multiple high-definition feeds simultaneously with zero signal degradation or color phase difference.
Advanced Signal Processing and Standards Compliance
The device guarantees full standard compliance by supporting SMPTE424M, SMPTE292M, SMPTE259M, and DVB-ASI protocols. It features an automatic input cable equalization mechanism that balances signal loss up to 80 meters using BELDEN8281 coaxial cables. Additionally, an integrated clock recovery circuit reduces output jitter and restores distorted inputs. Optional processing optimizations are included to handle complex SDI pathological test patterns reliably.
Industrial Reliability and Field Deployment
Built for demanding operations, the hardware utilizes automatic power control to maintain constant optical output power. The plug-and-play design allows instant field deployment without software configuration or local debugging. It operates reliably across an industrial temperature range of -20°C to +70°C.
