This professional-grade Electronic Field Production system is optimized for Sony multi-camera broadcasting and live production. It utilizes advanced CWDM technology over a single-mode dual-fiber link to transport uncompressed 4K video streams. The hardware extends multi-format video signals over relay-free distances up to 300 meters. It delivers full signal compliance across 12G-SDI, 6G-SDI, 3G-SDI, HD-SDI, and SD-SDI formats. The transmission core also provides seamless compatibility with DVB-ASI and AES10 MADI broadcast setups. Both transmitter and receiver incorporate clock recovery circuitry, automatic input cable equalization, and high-performance output drive functions to preserve signal integrity.
Comprehensive Camera Control and Communication
The system integrates extensive control lines to handle camera iris, zoom, exposure, and other essential operations via bi-directional data channels. Communication is facilitated through a professional XLR audio intercom system featuring high linearity, wide dynamic range, and low distortion. This intercom module maintains compatibility with standard I2S bus and MSB formats. Production synchronization is managed by a 1-channel remote reverse tally signal that connects operators and on-screen talent with live on-air status. Additionally, an integrated Gigabit Ethernet port supports VLAN tagging and handles ultra-long packets up to a maximum giant frame length of 9216 bytes.
Rugged Hardware Design and Power Management
The system hardware features an anodized shell constructed from high-grade aluminium alloy with an IP40-rated protection casing. It relies on efficient fan less heat dissipation to guarantee silent operation in quiet studio environments. The field-side transmitter is built as a compact desktop unit, while the studio-side receiver uses a 19-inch 1U rackmount form factor. Comprehensive status LEDs provide production teams with real-time equipment monitoring. The transmitter supports dual-mode field power through a LEMO DC connection or standard 14.8V V-mount batteries, whereas the receiver connects to universal AC power. True plug-and-play functionality allows immediate deployment without field testing or calibration.
