The HL-S12Gi-101 is a versatile, high-density fiber optic transceiver engineered for complex broadcast and live production environments. It supports fully bidirectional 12G-SDI video, allowing simultaneous send and return feeds over a single fiber link. The transmitter includes a video loop-back interface for local monitoring of high-definition audio and video. The system is fully compliant with broadcast standards including ST-2082-1, ST-2081-1, ST-424, ST-292, and ST-259. It also works seamlessly with DVB-ASI and AES10 MADI signals. Both ends feature clock recovery to eliminate timing jitter, automatic equalization for input compensation, and a cable drive mechanism for output strength.
Integrated Communications and Transparent Control Data
This multi-functional extension system integrates professional audio, tally signals, and multiple serial data formats into a single deployment. It features a 1-channel bidirectional 3.5mm stereo audio path dedicated to independent monitoring or intercom use. An integrated 1-channel bidirectional tally system synchronizes on-air status between the camera and the video switcher. For seamless peripheral control, the transceiver provides transparent data transmission supporting high-speed serial protocols. These lines can be used to handle camera control unit operations, robotic PTZ control, or camera metadata.
Modular Configuration and Operational Efficiency
The hardware is designed for immediate field deployment with an industrial plug-and-play design that requires no software configuration or on-site debugging. It delivers reliable signal extension over long distances up to 10km using standard single-mode fiber infrastructure. To match various studio control requirements, the system is available in four distinct I/O configuration options. Users can choose between a standard mix with single RS485 and RS232 channels, a dual RS485 configuration, a dual full-duplex RS232 setup, or an RS422 focus configuration.
